Trails of H.O.P.E Oklahoma Mission:

Join us in providing financial support and immediate assistance in assisting American Indian Families who have lost their homes in the May 19th and 20th Tornado’s. Trails of H.O.P.E (Helping Our People Earnestly) Oklahoma is providing a way for Indian country to connect directly to American Indian families in need.

By supporting Trails of H.O.P.E. Oklahoma your contributions will support the efforts of the OIMC Disaster Response Team a Native Disaster Response and crisis response team who provides direct support, care and assistance to American Indian victims of disasters such as this. They assist tribal families who have lost their homes, other property as well as addressing health issues.

Through compassionate case management individual family needs will be met. Such as but not limited to temporary housing, food and clothing as well as longer term life changing assistance like materials and resources for rebuilding homes and coordinated grief support with licensed mental health providers vital for many months and sometime years to come following traumatic events. David Wilson, the administrator of the team said “they are the ones that stay with the families long after the other relief efforts have left.”

Checks can be mailed to The Oklahoma Indian Missionary  Conference, 3020 S. Harvey, OKC. OK 73109. The phone number is 405-632-2006.  ATTN: Disaster Relief

  1. How does one get assistance? I called the OIMC on Thursday, was told everyone was in a meeting, and I would get a call that afternoon. Didn’t get a call, but my father and I are Kickapoo, and our house, and my vehicle, are destroyed. Currently living out of hotel, trying to get a motor home. Neighbor is Potawatomie, same situation. Can someone call me at #615-1348? Our houses are in Little Axe.
